ARCHITECTURAL TOUR

One of our greatest treasures is the fact that Palm
Springs is the un-disputed Mecca for ground-breaking
mid-century architecture. The second most important
residence in America... right behind Frank Lloyd
Wright's Falling Waters... is just two miles away from
the hotel...the 1947 Kauffman Residence designed by
architect Richard Neutra. This masterpiece sits atop a
list of literally hundreds of architecturally important homes,
hotels and businesses. And yes, the Desert Riviera Hotel,
designed in 1951 by architect Herbert Burns, is a beautiful
example of what can be brought back from the edge of ruin
with vision, imagination and love. Thank Larry and Patty.

CELEBRITY TOUR

And really... what would Palm Springs be without its
history of our famous visitors from the movie and
entertainment business. Pictured to the right is Elvis and Priscilla
Presley's honeymoon house. They came for some of the very
same reasons you will. Sunshine. Golf. Food. Fun. See
where they lived and still live.
PALM SPRINGS ART MUSEUM

Conceived and constructed in the 1970's, the Palm
Springs Art Museum is a modern museum with on-going
special exhibition of western art and culture. It is also home
to one of the more important art glass exhibitions.
WINDMILL TOUR

Over 4000 of these modern technological giants harness
the wind to provide electricity. See up-close the
future of wind power and its benefits.
PALM SPRINGS AIR MUSEUM

Just a short drive from the hotel is one of the
largest collections of World War ll aircraft. The many
indoor and outdoor exhibitions and photography
galleries come alive via the personal experiences and
tales of its docents.
THE AQUA CALIENTE CULTURAL MUSEUM

Every visitor comes away with a greater understanding
and respect for our valley's original settlers.
The harshness of the land and the beauty of their life
and art is vividly on display.
SHOPPING

Very few places in America can seriously point to
their shopping options as attractions. We do. Only one
mile away, our downtown Palm Springs awaits with its
small shops, personal service and eclectic mix of
goodies. A few miles east lies the internationally
famous Rodeo Drive of the Desert.... El Paseo in Palm
Desert
. And travelling west from our hotel will take
you to the Cabazon Outlet Shopping Center. Over one
hundred of America's top name-brand retailers are
here. And don't miss the two huge dinosaurs... they're
worth a snapshot or two.
