The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway—the world’s largest rotating tram car—travels over two-and-one-half miles along the breathtaking cliffs of Chino Canyon, transporting riders to the pristine wilderness of the Mt. San Jacinto State Park. During your approximately ten-minute journey, tram cars rotate slowly, offering picturesque and spectacular vistas of the valley floor below. Once you reach the Mountain Station—elevation 8,516 feet—enjoy two restaurants, observation decks, natural history museum, two documentary theaters, gift shop and over 50 miles of hiking trails.

The estate contains thousands of trees, 11 man-made lakes, a tennis court, and a nine-hole golf course designed by Dick Wilson The Annenbergs left the historic residence – where they entertained seven U.S. presidents, British royalty, celebrities, and international leaders – in a public trust to be forever operated as a high-level retreat center devoted to international understanding and the public good. Since their passing, The Annenberg Retreat at Sunnylands has hosted meetings that address serious issues facing the nation and the world.

The new Agua Caliente Cultural Museum is under construction and set to open in 2020. The new museum, designed by JCJ Architecture, will be located at the corner of E. Tahquitz Canyon Way and S. Indian Canyon Drive in downtown Palm Springs. The new museum is intended as a home to celebrate the history, culture and modern times of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. Inspiration for the museum’s design includes Agua Caliente traditions such as basket weaving and pottery (ollas) and elements found among the natural desert landscape. The design reflects the Tribe’s values and ongoing commitment to the Agua Caliente people. In addition, the project site is the home of the Agua Caliente Hot Mineral Spring.
