As we reopen our doors and begin welcoming guests to our small boutique hotel, we remain committed to providing a first class, safe, relaxing experience. Thank you for considering a stay with us, and if you have any questions or requests please call or email us. 

What You Can Expect

Cleanliness has always been a top priority at Desert Riviera. In response to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, we're implementing additional sanitation protocols and new procedures to promote safe distancing. Here's a few things you can expect:
          -High touch areas will be sanitized multiple times throughout the day
-Social distancing will be encouraged for all persons on property, guests and staff alike
          -Hand sanitizer stations in various areas of the hotel for guest use 
          -Flexible modification or cancellation policies for guests that test positive for COVID-19

Stay Cautious, Stay Safe
If you are experiencing any symptoms related to COVID-19, have been in proximity with anyone experiencing symptoms, or are at higher risk for complications from COVID-19 illness (such as persons who may have an underlying medical condition or may have a weakened immune system), we ask that you hold off or delay your visit. While we would love to have you with us, your safety, and the safety of all guests and staff, is our utmost concern. 

If you have an existing reservation with us and are experiencing symptoms, please contact us and we will update your reservation dates or cancel at no charge. 

While we are a small property with a limited number of guests, and are working hard to ensure the hotel's cleanliness, an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present, including this hotel.

Will I have to wear a mask?
On property, masks are not required for fully vaccinated individuals, but are suggested when inside indoor common areas, such as the office, guest kitchen or breakfast atrium. Individuals who are not vaccinated are asked to also wear a mask any time near other guests or staff.

Guests should keep a mask with them if going outside the hotel, as restaurants, retail, and other establishments may require it to enter, regardless of vaccination status.


Do I need to bring proof of vaccination or negative test?
Some retail or dining places may require proof of vaccination or negative test. We recommend keeping a copy of your vaccination record or proof of negative test with you in case it's needed.

Will there be housekeeping?
Yes, there is daily housekeeping, and rooms are thoroughly cleaned between guests, including fresh towels and linens.

Will the pool be open? How are we keeping the pool area sanitized?
Yes, the pool and hot tub will continue to be open and heated 24/7. They're cleaned and maintained by our dedicated pool guy, a professional who's been in business for years (if you see him around, say hi), and is regularly inspected by local health officials. 

In and around the pool, we kindly ask guests to follow safe distancing recommendations. Pool loungers, tables, and other furniture around the pool will be positioned to respect social distancing. 

Loungers, tables, and pool floats are sanitized regularly as well. 

Will you be serving breakfast?
We will! A complimentary selection of individually wrapped, prepackaged breakfast items will be available to choose from, and will allow one room in at a time. Each room is equipped with a toaster, microwave, and coffee machine for guests to prepare and enjoy the most important meal of the day.

Is our barbecue area and guest kitchen open?
Yes, they are open and available for guest use. We have installed hand sanitizing stations near our BBQ area as well as in the entrance to our communal kitchen area. Guests are asked to wash and/or sanitize their hands often to keep everyone safe.
